Exchanges & Warranty Policy

Exchanges are available in these situations:

1) Fit Issue (within 7 days):
If an appliance doesn’t fit the customer’s space, they may exchange it within 7 days of delivery or pickup, provided the appliance is undamaged and the customer contacts us first to explain the reason.

• Customers may bring the appliance back and pick up a replacement that will fit their space.

• If a customer wants us to deliver the replacement and take back the original appliance that didn't fit, they will have to pay the delivery fee again.
  
  

2) Under Warranty:
If an appliance under warranty develops an issue and we decide replacement is the best solution, we will exchange it for a different unit at no additional cost to the customer.

The warranty starts on the day the appliance is delivered to the customer.

Coverage periods:

• Fridges: 6 months — covers cooling and freezing only. Ice makers and water dispensers are not covered.
  
  

• Washers, Dryers, Washer & Dryer Sets, Stoves: 3 months — covers operational issues.
  
  

What to do if there’s an issue (Whether you are under or out of warranty):

• Contact us immediately to report the problem.
  
  

• We decide whether the appliance will be repaired or replaced.
  
  

For Customers In Our Service Areas (Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere):

• Under warranty: A technician will be sent to repair the appliance or our delivery guys will a deliver replacement at a scheduled date for no extra cost.
  
  

• Out of warranty: Customer will pay a discounted pricing for repairs, replacements, and delivery if needed.
  
  

For Customers Outside Our Service Areas:

• Under warranty: Customer brings the appliance to our store for repair or to get a replacement at no charge.
  
  

• Out of warranty: Customer brings the appliance to our store and pays discounted pricing for repair or replacement.

All appliance repairs completed by Hobby Appliances Home include a 3-month warranty.

• Fridges: warranty covers the cooling and freezing system.
  
  

• Washers, Dryers, Washer & Dryer Sets, and Stoves: warranty covers operational issues.

We offer in-home appliance repairs only for customers located in Calgary, Airdrie, or Chestermere.

Customers outside these areas can bring their appliance to our store for a repair service.
